i am seriously torn up inside, cos maine is basically my home land.  i wouldn’t admit that i actually love maine for the longest time, but i do.  i love it with every piece of my heart and soul.  it has this feeling that makes me feel actually at home.  so now that i don’t live there, and i see this ‘question 1’ stuff, it just tears my heart up.  i didn’t think it would come to this: people celebrating others sadness; people paying taxes and being hard-working citizens, but not actually being treated equally.  this was such a terrible thing - but! i do believe maine will prevail and become EQUAL - AS IT SHOULD BE.

im sorry brian. we tried, real hard. i’d give you a hug if i could…i could use one too :( we tried. next year! hope can’t be lost

yes yes - i knew you folks did.  i would give a hug too.  honestly, i do believe that maine is the type of place that will have the equality happen, cos that is just the way it feels up there: equal.  hope remains, we just need to fight.
